Christmas Dessert Recipes
Once the end of the year starts approaching, many people start looking for Christmas dessert recipes.
There are tons of little yummy treats and desserts you can make during the holidays.
The most popular Christmas dessert would have to be Christmas cookies and pudding. When throwing a holiday party or if you are simply having a family gathering, you may want to add more than one dessert to the menu.
People love to see selection and making the selection look edible should be your goal. Popular Christmas dessert recipes include Xmas cookies, cakes and pies.
Something I like to do is have my guests bring over some Christmas desserts which could turn out to be really fun. Seeing new desserts and getting to know how to make them could be great for some of us. Over the holidays, people love to eat up and they rarely think about their health. This is one of those Christmas dessert recipes made with no egg, so it should be step better than most of the other recipes.
Ingredients You’ll Need
• One Cup of White Sugar
• One Cup of Cut Walnuts
• One Cup of Raisins
• One and a Half Cups of Water
• Half a Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
• One Teaspoon of Vanilla
• A Bit of Ground Cloves
• Five to Six Toasted White Bread Slices
• One a Half Cup of Colby Swiss Cheese (Mild Cheese)
Method:
Since you will be baking, you should start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Over low heat, you should add sugar into a saucepan and heat it. The sugar should become in liquid form. Continue heating the sugar for ten more minutes, until it becomes shiny.
In the sugar mixture, you need to add the grounded cloves as well as the grounded cinnamon. Mix well while adding the water you had prepared on the side. As you add the water, keep reducing the heat and finally add the vanilla. Stir some more so that the vanilla is evenly spread out in the mix.
Take the six toasted white bread slices and cut them into small squares. Add the sliced bread pieces, nuts and raisins in a casserole dish. Pour on the prepared syrup and then add on the bread, raisins and nuts. You can repeat this step two or three times, so that you get all of it in the dish.
Place the casserole dish in the oven for about thirty to thirty five minutes. The only time consuming part in Christmas dessert recipes like this is preparing the syrup. Apart from the syrup, this is a quick dessert recipe that you can get through during the holidays.
This recipe is called Christmas Bread Pudding and it can be a lovely treat for the holidays. The pudding should be served warm, but don’t serve right from the oven. There are tons of Christmas dessert recipes out there that you can follow to create some great desserts this upcoming holiday season. I personally don’t always wait around for the holidays, in order to look for some Christmas dessert recipes, as I love eating desserts whenever I can.

Marc Fosh’s tip It’s so important that you keep any eye on the brownie while it’s baking. If it’s in too long, this indulgent favourite will dry out and lose its tempting moistness. This recipe was prepared using a Braun Multiquick 7 Cordless hand blender with its large chopper accessory. braun.com

How To Find Great Dessert Recipes
Being able to find great dessert recipes is important for those who are looking to save some time in preparing dessert.
Without having some proper dessert recipes, it will would tough to make something when you are on a tight schedule. If I am short on time, I usually spruce something up with some fruits and ice cream. Not only is it healthy, but it saves me a ton of time.
Ice cream on its does contain a considerate amount of sugar, so I do try to avoid having to give out seconds. Simply add in a lot of fruits and it should fill up your family members.
The three main categories of dessert falls into cakes, pies and pudding, but there are other things you can prepare. If you are looking for other types of cake dessert recipes, you could consider making brownies. Brownies are great for dessert and they don’t require a lot of effort to bake.
Ingredients to Make Brownies
• Two Eggs
• One Cup of Sugar
• Half a Cup of Butter
• Half a Cup of Flour (Self-rising)
• One Third of a Cup of Cocoa Powder
• A Quarter Teaspoon of Salt
• One Teaspoon of Vanilla
• Half a Cup of Walnuts or Almonds
Method:
Since you will be baking, you should start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. In order to bake the brownies, you will need a baking pan that is about ten inches by ten inches. If you can find something that is two inch less on each side that would work fine as well. If your pan is even smaller, you may need to bake the brownies in two trays. For most dessert recipes, you will notice that they ask you to use pans and trays of specific size, but you could always compromise.
Melt the butter by putting it over low heat and add it to a bowl of sugar. There should be only one cup of sugar in the bowl. Mix it well and add in the eggs one by one. Add the first egg and mix it well before you add in the next egg. Once the egg is fully blended into the mix, you can add the flour, salt and cocoa powder. Again, blend everything thoroughly. Lastly add in the vanilla and mix it well.
Now, your batter should be brown in color and should somewhat look right for the brownies. Additionally, you can add walnuts into the mix, but that is completely up to you. Some people love to add white chocolate chunks, so you could do that as well.
Using a bit of butter or margarine, grease the bottom of your baking pan and get it ready for the brownie mixture. Even if it doesn’t say in dessert recipes, you should always grease the pan before baking. Pour in the brownie mix into the pan and leave it in the oven for thirty minutes. The finished product should not be wobbly when you shake it around. Alternatively, you can stick a toothpick in the brownie and check to see if the inside has been well baked.
There you have it; this should give you a lovely chocolate dessert for the end of your meal. Some people choose to purchase brownie mixes from grocery stores to bake brownies, but you may not prefer the high sugar content in store bought mixes. By making such desserts at home, you will get to control the amount of flavoring and sweeteners being added to the dessert recipes.

Raw Chocolate Truffle Recipe, Heart Wisdom & A Whole Buncha Silliness! :P

***TO HEAR MY YODA VOICE, THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS LIKE A YODA VOICE (NOT A KERMITY YODA VOICE) WATCH MY “Leija’s Space of Love” video. Heeheehee.*** www.youtube.com I made some raw vegan chocolate truffles today for a gathering I’m going to tomorrow, and thought I’d share the recipe with all you youtubee youtubers! It’s one of my favourite raw recipes because it’s super easy & quick, ridiculously yummy, and very pretty, especially if you roll the truffles in shredded coconut! They look like “real” truffles, and by real, I mean the typical kind you’d buy at a “real” gourmet chocolate store… but of course they’re way healthier! Here’s the recipe: 3 cups raw walnuts Approx. 2 tbsp ground flax seed (not essential, but I’ll sometimes add it in for the health benefits) Approx 1 cup dates (if you have a really big sweet tooth, add a few more, although totally not necessary!) Sometimes its nice to NOT have sickeningly sweet truffles! The 3 cups to 1 cup ratio give it the perfect amount of sweetness I feel!
5 organic strawberries. If you want to mix it up, make a variety 5 pack! Make a few with strawberries, raspberries, coconut meat, cinnamon, and orange zest (grated orange peel)! OMG orange zest makes them taste DIVINE!
They are definitely one of my all-time fav flavours! Ok, so now that you have all your ingredients, pour the nuts in the food processor & puree (meaning blend, chop & let your processor do its thang!) Add in dates, strawberries and/ or orange zest, etc …

Lizzie asks…
I need a good fruit candy recipe that is not a hard or crunchy candy and does not contain chocolate or nuts?
I already have made soft peanut butter brittle, chocolate covered toffee with nuts and caramel crackers, I need one more candy to put out for guests. Thank you.

admin answers:
I make up candies to give as Christmas gifts and these fruit candies really add color to them. The taste is wonderful.
Pâte de fruit
1 cup chunky applesauce
1 ½ cups apricots, peeled and pitted
2 ¼ cups sugar
1 cup raspberries (optional)
Place the applesauce, apricots and sugar in a non-reactive 2 quart heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium high heat. Mix together, then add the raspberries. The raspberries will dominate the flavor. If you want apricot-flavored pâte de fruit, omit the raspberries. Use a hand-held immersion blender or whisk to combine all of the ingredients until smooth and homogenous. As the mixture cooks, the natural pectin in the fruit will cause the mixture to thicken. Continue to cook the mixture until it is thick, mixing constantly. To test for the correct consistency, dip a whisk in the mixture and hold it horizontally in front of you. Watch as the mixture drips off the whisk and back into the pan. If the mixture stays on the whisk beads up into small balls, like pearls, it is ready. If it drips back into the pan in thin strands, it needs to be cooked a little longer.
When the mixture is ready, pour it into a 10-inch bottomless tart mold or cake ring place on parchment paper-covered baking sheet. Let the pâte de fruit cool and set, about 3 hours at room temperature. If the pate de fruit appears slightly soft after cooling, return it to the saucepan and boil another few minutes, then cool as directed.
To unmold, run a sharp knife between the pâte de fruit and the side of the mold. Lift off the mold. At this point the pâte de fruit can be stored, well wrapped in plastic wrap and in a airtight container, for up to 4 weeks. Sprinkle the top of the pâte de fruit with a thin layer of granulated sugar and flip it over onto another sheet of parchment paper. Remove the parchment that is now on top. Sprinkle this side with more sugar. Use a wet chef’s knife to cut the disk into strips and then onto squares. You will probably need to stop cutting and clean the knife after every few cuts. The pâte de fruit is very sticky and will be easier to cut with a clean knife. Roll each square completely in sugar and serve. Do not store in the refrigerator where the humidity will make the sugar melt.
Substitute an equal amount of hulled and sliced strawberries or the juice of 1 large lemon, instead of the raspberries to flavor.

Chris asks…
Holiday candy recipes?
I am looking for 4-5 holiday candy recipes. I am looking for things to make for my friends like caramels, peppermint patties, peppermint bark, and lots of good things like that. I don’t want anything with nuts because of allergies. I also wouldn’t mind some baking things like cookies or stuff preferably not with peppermint and nuts but like chocolate chip cookies or something because this is all going to be in a gift basket type thing.
Thanks
