is the taste of this eggless cake really as good as a cake with eggs? if so, that’s amazing. I can’t eat eggs and I’ll be trying this out at christmas.

Cocoa Powder is available at American grocery stores (Walmart, Kroger, etc). Hershey’s or Nestle’s are common brands.

Did you mix the ingredients just until blended, or for a longer period of time? On an early attempt at cake baking, I mixed for too long, and the cake came out dry. Another possibility is that it could have been baked for too long, or the recipe could simply be faulty.

You’d be surprised the uses of vinegar…it’s not just for salads. A friend of mine was cooking some sort of dish and he kept pouring in the vinegar-almost the whole bottle-i questioned him about it but after the dish was cooked, I admitted that it was one of the most delicious meals I had ever had! He did that for a spaghetti and meat sauce dish he made and it was really REAAALLY good!

It is a very neutral, yet unique flavor and cannot be substituted. You could try vanilla bean but it is more economical to have a small bottle of vanilla extract in your pantry. Other options could be a variety of other extracts such as almond.
