I've had these bowls for the past 6 years and they are in good condition. They are not stained up and they do not have any odor that plastic normally collects after mixing doughs and etc. Just recently I used my glass mixing bowl set to make home made waffles and it slipped right out of my hands when my hands had water on them. The recipe was ruined! I immediately went for the OXO Non-slip bowls and the recipe was a success without having to worry about anything on your hands or having your bowl slip while fooling with wet ingrediants. I love the fact that these bowls stay still, you also have a slight handle that keeps you from accidentally sticking your fingers in the recipe. They are dishwasher safe, I normally put all plastics on the top rack to be cleaned. Do not put these in the microwave, use another bowl that is microwave safe. I think these bowls are nice for your kitchen too. I use them for movie night (popcorn, potato chips and or sweets), which is good when you are passing the bowl around to your children or significant other without it slipping and the bowl is not hot due to your popcorn. If you happen to get any stains, just use some baking soda along with your dish washing liquid; it's also good for odors as well. Hope this review is helpful.

My usual 2 quart double boiler was just too small for making 2 quarts of yogurt. There was a little head room, but not much. The Cuisinart double boiler was the only large size that I could find. The curved bottom is nice for using a whisk in the pan, but the only drawback is that it rocks trying to set it on a counter. Not a good idea. So, I just set it in the sink drain when I need to set it down not in the lower pot. Great product.

I love these bowls! They brighten up the kitchen at our cabin and are great sizes. The most use they've had so far is being used as toys by visiting children ages 1 - 3. They love to play with them, and the bowls are sturdy enough and easy to clean so it's not a problem. Who knew I was getting something to entertain kids when I ordered mixing bowls?

it's a flourless cake, don't expect it too rise. although you can put a smaller pan so it would be higher... this cake really tastes good, so chocolatey

Chocolate: A Love Story by Max Brenner is a chocolate-lovers paradise. The recipes included in this book are so different and decadent. How does "A philosophical highly concentrated fudge brownie" sound? Or "Lipstick banana chocolate cake bonbons"? My daughter and I made the bad boy chocolate pizza. If you think you know dessert pizza, think again. This one includes chocolate-hazelnut spread, semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips and marshmallows which are the ultimate gooey roasted topping. This one was not for the faint of heart and is just the tip of the chocolate kiss when it comes to the chocolate paradise shared in this book.

Mr. Brenner has been in the chocolate biz for quite a while and is owner of Max Brenner: Chocolate by the Bald Man. He not only shares his recipes but also when and how his love for chocolate started. He also includes an introduction concerning the book's illustrator, Yonatan. I would be amiss if I did not mention the pictures that accompany the recipes. There is a wonderful mixture of photography and art that is the perfect companion to the delectable concoctions.

It is a very neutral, yet unique flavor and cannot be substituted. You could try vanilla bean but it is more economical to have a small bottle of vanilla extract in your pantry. Other options could be a variety of other extracts such as almond.

Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless Universal Double Boiler with Cover

My wife just loves this Universal Double Boiler, most of all the way it is what I call stepped down in the bottom. This makes it versical where you can us it in more than one pan.

This complement the cuisinart 17 piece set of stainless steel cookware that we purchased earlier this year. I have rated this a five star, if I could I would give it more stars; not just the Double Boiler, but the entire set.

We have switched from another popular brand of cookware to the cuisinart most of all because it is dish washer proof and the finish does not come off like some of the popular coated cookware does.
